The Fieldnode Technology Radar is an overview of the technologies, tools and practices our teams use and evaluate. It helps us share experience, make consistent choices, and see where our technology landscape is heading.
Quadrants
- Languages & Frameworks – programming languages and the frameworks we build our products with.
- Methods & Patterns – development methods, practices and architectural patterns.
- Platforms & Operations – infrastructure, cloud platforms and services for running what we build.
- Tools – tools that make our day-to-day work more productive.
Rings
- Adopt – proven in production at Fieldnode; a good default choice.
- Trial – worth pursuing on real projects where the risk is manageable.
- Assess – worth exploring to understand how it could affect us.
- Hold – proceed with caution; not recommended for new work.
